Too Many Passions.........

She was fair and tall,
And prettiest of all
This shy little lass,
Was in my elementary school class

She became my passion,
Love, and obsession…..

But in my high school year,
I changed my gear
When I saw someone,
Whom I yearned to be near…….

As I shifted my passion,
The previous one went out of fashion.....

Then in the college,
I had to acknowledge,
That my passion has shifted,
To someone more gifted,
With beauty and brain,
She was no plain jane……

I met in my building,
Someone near the pool,
My passion fled,
And I let the new one rule…….

But then in my office,
A siren came,
And she changed,
The rules of my game……..

Now when you ask me
A question so smart,
If I would like
My passion to restart….

I wonder now, where to find,
Any of the women,
Who were once
The Passion of my mind………

This post is written on following prompt

It's not a serious take on the word "passion", but that's my problem, I rarely write sincerely on prompts :)

May be, I have mistook "Infatuation" as passion. But it helped me to write a post. :)

  5. This is what we call wit infused with humour ! I've read a line in Hindi somewhere -- "मेरे दिल के टुकड़े हज़ार हुए, एक यहाँ गिरा, एक वहाँ गिरा .........." It's that hilarious. I couldn't stop smiling. :)

    1. Hah hah. Apt lines of hindi song, Sangeeta!
